Alkalai Lake is located approximately 3 miles Northeast of Brownlee, in Cherry County Nebraska. It has approximately 70 surface acres of water, and is somewhat difficult to find. We were unable to visit it on our last trip to Cherry County because of bad weather and impassable roads. The roads in this area are mainly unimproved sand roads. We recommend that a 4 wheel drive vehicle be used when attempting to venture onto the side roads in this area.
