LINGID

Bluestem Lake is located 8 miles east of Crete, in Lancaster County, Nebraska. The lake itself is 325 acres with all boats allowed on the lake.

The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lake as having good fishable populations of Bluegill, Crappie, Flathead and Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Saugeye, Walleye, and Wiper. Anglers should note, there is a 15 inch length limit on Largemouth Bass. Crappie and bass can be easily taken off the Dam with nightcrawlers, spinners, and rubber worms. Walleye can be pursued by using a boat and a depthfinder. Most were suspended in structure about 120 yards off the dam.

Facilities at Bluestem include primitive camping, dump station, fresh water, picnic grounds, parking, boat ramps, and playgrounds.
