LINGID

  Cottonwood Lake State Recreation Area is located one-half mile southeast of Merriman. The lake has approximately thirty-four surface acres of water, with all boats are allowed on the lake.

  The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission lists Cottonwood as containing Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Pike and Yellow Perch.

  Cottonwood is a very nice rural recreation area and is very well maintained. Facilities include primitive camping, restrooms, picnic facilities, and improved boat ramps.
