Dead Timber Lake, part of Dead Timber State Recreation Area, is located five miles northwest of Scribner Nebraska, in Dodge County. Boating is allowed on this lake, but is restricted nonpowered to electric motors are allowed. A park entry permit is required.
The lake has 20 surface acres of water. The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission list Dead Timber as containing Bullhead, Carp, Channel & Flathead Catfish.
Facilities at dead timber include primitive and modern camping, picnic facilities, boating access, and restrooms.
