Goldeneye Lake and State Wildlife Management Area is located in Deuel County, three miles west of Big Springs Nebraska. The lake was created along the Interstate like many of the "I-80 lakes" when in building overpasses a large source of fill dirt was needed. The pits that provided this source of earth were created into lakes all along the Interstate.

Goldeneye Lake has approximately 17 surface acres of water. The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lake as containing Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass and Yellow Perch.

Facilities at Goldeneye are very primitive.
