Holmes Lake is located in Lancaster County at 70th & Normal Boulevard, in Lincoln Nebraska. Boating is allowed on this lake but is restricted to non-powered craft. Visitors should note this lake is a City of Lincoln Park, and there are few facilities. The lake does however have a wheelchair accessible fishing pier, and is a well maintained park. The lake is approximately 100 surface acres of water. Trout are stocked in fall and winter and provide a fun and easy catch for local anglers. The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists Holmes Lake as containing Bluegill, Carp, Blue, Channel & Flathead Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Saugeye, Trout(seasonal), Walleye and White Perch.
