Jack Rabbit Lake is located in Cherry County, nine miles east and one mile south of Whitman. The lake is privately owned but managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission under an MOU. The road to Jack Rabbits are unimproved sand for the most part, and we were unable to visit the lake on our last excursion to valentine because of the road conditions.
The lake has 34 surface acres of water. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission lists Jack Rabbit as containing Bluegill, Largemouth Bass and Yellow Perch.
