LINGID

Maloney Reservoir is located 6 miles south of North Platte, in Maloney County, Nebraska. Maloney has approximately 1,650 surface acres of water, with an average depth of 34 feet.

The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lake as having Channel and Flathead Catfish, Carp, Drum, Walleye, White Bass, and Wiper. Anglers should note that there is a 15 inch limit on Walleye and Largemouth Bass. The majority of the fish we took at the lake on our visit were from trolling with minnows, leaches, and nightcrawlers. Drum, Walleye, and White Bass were taken fairly easily, with Drum being the majority of the fish we caught.

Facilities at Maloney include primitive and modern camping, fresh water, boat ramps, restrooms, picnic areas, and concessions.
