Midwest Fishing Lake Guide, Swan Lake.

Swan Lake is located in Holt County, 26 miles south of Atkinson Nebraska. Boating is allowed on this lake, but powered boating is limited to 5 mile per hour speed limit. The lake has approximately 235 surface acres of water. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission lists Swan Lake as containing Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Yellow Perch. Upon our last visit to Swan Lake we found it to be excellent fishing for Northern pike and Yellow perch. Pike were taken in shallow water with medium sized spoons and crankbaits. The perch were taken with nightcrawlers and small crankbaits. Facilities are very limited at Swan Lake, and the boat ramp is directly off a main road.
