Whitney Lake is located in Dawes County Nebraska, one and one-half miles west of the city of Whitney. It is a private irrigation reservoir so access is limited.
The lake has approximately 900 surface acres of water, and is a very scenic lake. The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists Whitney Lake as containing Channel Catfish, Crappie, Perch, Walleye and White Bass.
Facilities at Whitney are primitive.
