LINGID

Willow Creek Lake is Located 2 miles west of the city of Pierce, in Pierce county, Nebraska. The lake has 700 surface acres of water and excellent facilities. The lake has been noted in the past for producing excellent catchable Tiger Muskie and Northern Pike.

The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists the lake as having fishable populations of Bluegill, Bullhead, Channel Catfish, Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Tiger Muskie, Walleye, and Wipers. The main focus of our fishing on most of our visits has been for Tiger Muskie. The most successful method we have encountered for taking Muskie in this sort of lake is fast trolling in shallow water with large crankbaits, shad, or spoons. This method has consistently yielded several Muskie a day, although very few were of any large size. Boaters should note that the lake is divided into distinct sections of wake/no wake 5mph zones. These are all clearly marked with no wake buoys.

Facilities at Willow Creek include primitive and modern camping, several boat ramps, swimming beaches, restrooms, picnic sites, Hiking and horseback riding trails.
