Lewis and Clark Lake, part of the Lewis and Clark State Park and Recreation Area, is located 3 miles west of Onawa, in Monona County, Iowa. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources lists the lake as being a natural lake, covering approximately 250 surface acres of water.
Facilities at the Lewis and Clark State Park and Recreation Area include; modern campsites, hiking trails, picnic areas, enclosed shelter rentals, playgrounds and boat ramps. Boating is allowed on the lake with no size limit on boat motor. Boat ramps have a hard surface for ease in launching and docking of boat.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources lists; Bluegill, Largemouth Bass and Channel Catfish as the major species of fish available in the Lewis and Clark Lake. Also listed as available, but not as common, is Northern Pike.
