Silver Lake is located on the west edge of Lake Park, in Dickinson County, Iowa. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources lists the lake as being a natural lake covering 1041 surface acres of water.
Facilities at Silver Lake include campgrounds, picnic areas, and public restrooms. Boating is allowed on the lake, with no limit on motor size. For those visitors without their own boat, rentals are available and hard surfaced boat ramps are provided for ease in launching and docking boat.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources lists; Northern Pike, Bullhead and Walleye as the major species of fish available in Silver Lake. Also listed as available, but not as commonly found, are Yellow Perch and Bluegill.
